Though there was virtually no wind tonight, high air pressure pushing 102kPa kept most from improving upon their season series bests - The Event Factor currrently measures only .9473, and would be even lower were it not for the huge 1.2637 ratio (2 minute improvement) achieved by Peewee (10-12 years old) Female rider Nia Byway. Congratulations to Nia for not only having an excellent personal improvement, but for also setting an all-time Peewee Female recordall-time best for the Peewee females which is one minute faster than Julie Peltz's 25:39 from 1993-Jul-27) AND for EVEN breaking the all-time Peewee Male record of 25:23 set by Simon Cousineau on 1996-Jul-25 by 44 seconds! WOW, what a talented young rider who has been doing great on the track as well! Anyway, regardless of the fact that most of us were slower than normal, the spirit of fun was much in evidence - from Peter Mills who played the harmonica for the keen start-line leaders, to Ben Basu dressed in the most popular orange colour of 2012 to match the single speed bike that he rode upon tonight, to the lively three way sprint to the finish line by fastest rider Aaron Fillion (18:19) and two of the riders who he caught, to the dinner conversations afterwards at Biggs.

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would look after the data entry. Historically, for the decade starting in 1998 I had all of the WTT series up within a few hours of the event, and likewise for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. More recently, I have written web software which can run from the start/finish lines to register, seed, calculate rider times from elapsed times and database the results immediately. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
